The idea for LILY P4D was born on the stage, mid-tour, by a sound engineer who was tired of microphone gates and mic mutes that just didn’t work.
Drew Becker, Front Of House (FOH) Engineer for the Grammy-winning band The Infamous Stringdusters, had tried everything on the market to reduce mic bleed and feedback during live sets. But nothing gave him the control or consistency he or the band needed in real-world show conditions.
So during downtime between tours, Drew designed and built something better: a pressure-sensitive footpad that gives musicians total control over when their mic is hot... and when it’s not.
At first, it was just a personal tool; something to make his life easier, and make The Infamous Stringdusters sound even more amazing on stage. But, when other musicians and engineers saw it in action, they wanted in. “Will you make one for me?”
Before he knew it, his “personal fix” had grown into a company.
Today, LILY P4D is trusted on stages around the world, by everyone from local musicians in clubs, to the Eagles at the Sphere in Vegas.
And that’s the story of LILY P4D.
