BEHIND THE LILY P4D

Crafted with care. Hand built by engineers

About LILY P4D

I’m Drew Becker, FOH sound engineer for the Grammy-winning Bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters. Like many sound engineers, I struggled with unreliable mic ducking systems that just didn’t perform. Infrared gates were inconsistent, and for live shows, that wasn’t good enough. During the COVID pandemic, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Finding a Better Solution

I needed something better—something reliable and easy to use. That’s when I began designing the first prototype of the LILY P4D. I wanted a system that used pressure-activated mic ducking to eliminate the frustrations I’d faced with other products. After a lot of trial and error, I built something that finally worked the way I needed it to.

Turning an Idea into a Product

What started as a personal project quickly gained traction. Other engineers and musicians saw the value in the LILY P4D and began asking for it. Before I knew it, the product had grown into a business. Today, the LILY P4D is trusted by professionals all over the world, from small venues to massive stages.
